So I know its been a while. First it was our huge LACK of internet access and then it turned into the slowest internet on earth...truth be told, I just started avoiding the office all together:) So this is what our family has been up to just to start with. Cash and Marisa came to visit and in honor of Cash and his love for Mountain Dew we made these:
Mountain Dew Apple dumplings
2 cans of refrigerated crescent rolls 1 cup sugar
2-3 apples cinnamon
2 sticks of butter 1 tsp vanilla
Cut apples into 1/8ths and put one or two wedges in each crescent roll. Lay them in a nine x thirteen. Melt butter in pan, add vanilla, and then dump the sugar in. It doesn't need to be mixed very well and the sugar should not dissolve. Pour mixture over your crescent rolls. And then comes the good part. Take a can of mountain dew and pour about 3/4 of it around the edges of your 9 x 13. And it will fill in the rest. Sprinkle with cinnamon. And cook for 40 minutes at 350.
Now this is not a picture of us making the above fat maker, BUT I did want to show how I usually end up making all goodies. Aren't they adorable kids. (Kids who need a hair cut or at the very least for their mother to do something with it:)

I feel your pain in with regard to the internet as only someone who lives the the middle of nowhere can. If I didn't have the school connection, I couldn't function. Nice to have you back.
I feel like I've just had a drink of water after being in the desert for, oh, months! Like I've just had a slice of meatloaf on Fast Sunday! I'm sooooo glad to see pictures and the written word and know about what's been happening. Thanx!!!!
Glad to have you back online. I have missed reading your updates. Can't wait to play Rockband!
We so miss you and your cooking skills! Keep posting recipes!! Luke is a 'counter kid' too. All meals in this house are made with the fear that he's going to fall or get ahold of a knife. ;) Um, your kids are adorable! Have I told you I think Noah looks like his mommy?
