Jared's new toy

I'm beginning to think that if Jared had to pick another job he might choose his place in a rockband:)  ROCKBAND on XBOX is our latest way of creating enjoyment up here in no mans land.   (Ironically, we're reading "Last Child in the Woods" about kids with nature deprivation, I'm sure Rockband will help our cause in getting the kids in the wild more) And when we aren't embarrassing just ourselves we invite family and friends to do it with us:)

HOLY CRAP MAREN! I thought you might be dead in a ditch somewhere! UM....DID YOU LOSE PHONE ACCESS TOO????

Alright, Alright, I know I am to blame too! I stink at calling sometimes. I am so sorry! I do so miss you. I think my eye is starting to twitch with all the Maren Missing I have been doing lately. SOOOOO, right after I get back from Utah and ahem..... we are going to remedy that!

OH AND for the record my husband may have really been in a rock band (it was called Insision -Oh yeah, I can already feel the contact high just from thinking about it) HOWEVER....I AM THE TRUE ROCKSTAR....and yes, you should let me come over and show you what I am made of...and for a little humble pie, I am sure!

I know this is not the corresponding post, but I want some of those Mtn Dew things. Ahhhh, sweet nectar.

Just today I was having a conversation about two rock bands from my younger days. Whitesnake and Tesla. How about Def Leppard, Ratt, Motley Crue, Poison, Europe, Twisted Sister...the list goes on and on. Come on, Jared. Bring it. Bellevue is going to ROCK this summer!

A little aside, I have a colleague who's son lives in Bellevue. Weird, eh? Last name is Koch. Used to work in a frame shop, but Rob says he's teaching at a community college up there. Any idea what he's referring to?

Speaking of Rock Band -- did you see Def Leppard on Dancing last night?!? Crazy. I have so much more admiration for that drummer now that I have tried drumming with *two* hands and officially stink. :)

I think Rock Band may be the most UN-video game like video game in the world and wouldn't you know it, I'm still no good. I bought it too though, hoping it would teach me how to sing on key and learn some rhythm. It hasn't worked. Wait a minute. You played our rock band when you were in town. You already knew what I was going to say!
